SWAG One Ton Arbor Press Plate
Our new 1 Ton Press Plate is cut out of 3/4" high strength grade 50-A-572 plate steel. This arbor press plate is a direct replacement for the cast arbor plate found on the 1 Ton Harbor Freight Press (item #3552). The outside diameter of this plate is 4.5"
We improved upon the plate in two ways. First, the cutouts are slightly oversized which allows you to press out objects that are exactly .50", .75", 1.0", 1.25" outside diameter. The second improvement is we eliminated of the rough taper associated with cast arbor plates which cause interference and reduce the overall effective diameter.
The low quality cast iron of imported arbor press plates are prone to shattering under shock loading.
